Right, because it's simply the fact that the car is undesireable right?
It's got nothing to do with antitheft systems that make the car virtually impossible to hotwire? Like oh say the PATS system?
Theres a thread going on this over on the Jet already.

If it were the PATS system, all Foci from 00-07 would have been on there...FORDSVTPARTS wrote:Right, because it's simply the fact that the car is undesireable right?

Besides, I've seen Gone in 60 seconds, you just go to the dealer and order keys...not too hard.

You can't just get a key cut and have it start the car, you of all people should know that Kyle. I hope you're being sarcastic.o2designs wrote:If it were the PATS system, all Foci from 00-07 would have been on there...FORDSVTPARTS wrote:Right, because it's simply the fact that the car is undesireable right?

The car has to recognise the key which requires having the car programmed to memorize the chip code.
Maybe the '05-'07 cars made the list due to the number built compared to the number stolen, that would make the '00-'04 cars much more likely to be stolen. Percentage wise anyways.

you know, on 507.com (vvv) a guy got his civic stolen. i told him to get a focus, no one wants them....
LOL, I think they get used to it...being made fun of theft...
The car is actually a 02 or newwer. I'm thinking a 02, by the wheels and headlights. With SVT mirrors. Don't know where they got that stock photo. The mirrors kind of threw me off...

I'm pretty sure it's an '02 due to the wheels, didn't they go to the 5 spokes in '03?
That and it's got black rockers.

I was thinking it was an 02 because of the headlights. I believe 02 was the last year they used chrome housing headlights, and 02 was the first year they offered the 5dr...
