Heat Shields for the Lower Control Arm Ball Joints

Car: 04 CD Silver SVTF 3-door
Location: Osceola, WI

The Ford manual specifically says to make sure that the heat shields are reinstalled. The only problem is that on my SVTF, there are no heat shields. I'm absolutely certain that these were the original ball joints/control arms. Anyone else missing the heat shields on their SVTF? By the way, the heat shield is nothing more than a little stamped sheet metal part. And since the ball joints are really close to the rotor, I can see the wisdom of a heat shield.

it all depends on the year. if yours is post " ohhhhhhhh fudkt wes have money prollem" it wont have things like the skin openers on the BJs or large amounts of sound dampner or under hood mat. 8)

sorry ill smart it up for you.
it all depends on the build year of the car, as most after the " oh f@ck! we have really big money loss problems" period started to shed small sniglly items such as sound deadner and little bits here and there.
