Why acid dipped instead of blasted? Wouldn't blasting them be cheaper?

You can blast them but with Acid diping you would get a much "cleaner" job done. Blasting them would ruffen the wheels up a bit. But this also depends on what you use to blast them with and where you take them to get done at.

Ah, that makes sense.

If anyone finds a place, put me on the list as well. I'd like to get my EAPs dipped. Maybe if we get a group together we could get a discount?

You can try New Dimension Plating in Hutchinson here, (320) 587-3389.

Pretty sure there's places in the cities too. Just look for chroming shops, all should have acid tanks.

I deal with Keystone here in Mpls. Their phone # is 612-789-1919. If you are able to say you're from a shop, they will give, I believe you a 25% discount. Good Luck

Thanks for the info. I will probably be looking to do this sometime in March. I'll bump the thread then and see if anyone else want to do some too.

If it's not 'til March I could blast them for you, tentatively (depending on the weather). Got my 'little' home built blaster here (pic's). I'd just have to change media to something less abrasive, not sure exactly what though.

We'll see how it goes. I always want to do things but am an epic fail when it comes to actually doing anything...mainly cause of money.
