Well I started my next project, I pulled my turbo system off and replaced it with a race header.

I think the S.O.B. that set up my turbo kit chopped my flex pipe and now my exhaust is tweaked, it is all snugged up but the front of the flex back is raised way up. Now I just have to plug a few holes, get stock injectors and MAF on and flash it with the SCT back to stock. I will have to get use to the EGR failure light though. This sucks, I mean, my car doesn't suck anymore. I pulled off more than 110whp tonight. I think i need some fig newtons

No more turbo? Why? Also, I just realized that you live in mayer. I was in mayer yesterday picking up parts from the eDiscountBike warehouse. When I was driving through it felt like I had gone through a time warp or something. It was really trippy. Was that the origional sign outside the laundrymat?

The turbo seals are leakng really bad and the car smokes like cheech and chong. i can't afford to rebuild it so off it comes. I am gonna replace it with a T3 super 60, right now i have a t3/t4 hybrid that spools quick and gives tons of air, but it is a little too aggresive.

It might be the way your oil return is set up. oil backing up, with nowhere to go.
You should plug the pan, and put the return where vortech puts it.

Brand new centers are around 100 bucks. Rebuild kits are around 40 bucks. The shaft is already balanced, all you have to do is re-align the paint marks.

I guess I don’t see how going to a super 60 will help anything? What is your thought behind that?

T3=more controllable boost, t3/t4 over kill, thats how i see it. plus it is a more common tune. I got the car running today. It kicks ass, but is slow. It runs like a champ, but with race header 2 1/4 flex, and magnaflow it is louder than cats in heat.

I dont think youll notice much of a differance.

I say sell the turbo kit to someone who has time and money for it, and buy a intercooled vortech kit.

It wont be as fast, but it will run everyday. You can always add the juice to it..... :)

I just bought a turbo kit and I really hope I don't have half the problems that you've had

first thing I'd recomend is getting your tunning situation figured out. Hitech in Ramsey does the diablo sport package and alll day dyno tuning for $500 which includes the chip, installation and dyno.

once you work out the tuning and know your comforatable with the situaitn then install the setup and go from there, make sure you've got all the parts you need, and everything installed properly (IE oil return line at the upper most top part of your oil pan, or even get a oil rerturn pump (more expensive but means no blown turbo seals)

if going with an external waste gate make sure you get a good one right away, and dont skimp out on that, or else it would mean over boost and boom goes your engine.

other than that you should be good to go :)
